Preschool Adventure Days
During Preschool Adventure Day, children will experience multi-sensory, hands-on activities that incorporate music, art, literacy and lots of fun.
“Research shows young children learn best by hands-on experience and Preschool Adventure Days provide a wealth of new vocabulary experiences,” said Erin Townley, Early Childhood Manager. “This is definitely an event that will provide lasting memories for children and families.”
Skipping Into Spring
Saturday, March 9
10 a.m. to noon
Activities included with admission
Preschool Adventure Day: Skipping Into Spring is a special event for our young visitors where they explore activities designed specifically for them. Children learn best through hands-on experiences. By participating in Preschool Adventure Day activities, children learn new vocabulary, test hypotheses and stretch their imaginations. In addition to cognitive skills, there are opportunities to practice fine and gross motor skills as well as social skills.
As our young learners make their way through Skipping Into Spring, they will:
- Experiment with a wind tunnel;
- Create a windsock they can take home;
- Paint a "rain" picture;
- Make a flower garden;
- Play with frogs in our pond sensory bin;
- Participate in a lady bug bean bag toss and more!
Don't miss this multi-sensory event perfect for young children and their caregivers. All Preschool Adventure Day activities are included with the price of admission. A special thank you to our Ooltewah JROTC volunteers for helping make this event possible.
Can't make it to this Preschool Adventure Day? No problem! We will host Preschool Adventure Days on Sept. 7 and Dec. 7 in 2019.
