CDM Partners with EPB on Smart Grid and Fiber Optics Exhibit

In an effort to showcase the ways technology is helping transform our community, Creative Discovery Museum has partnered with EPB to create an exhibit about the Smart Grid, Fiber Optics and how electricity makes it into the home. The exhibit is featured in the Museum’s expanded Make It Space area.

Creative Discovery Museum Kicks Off Countdown to Kindergarten Program

According to a recent study by Chattanooga 2.0, only 40 percent of Hamilton County kindergarteners arrive on the first day of school prepared with the skills needed to succeed. In an effort to ensure that rising kindergartners and their caregivers have access to free resources and fun activities, Creative Discovery Museum invites all area preschoolers to register for Countdown to Kindergarten, a free program that will help prepare for the first year of “Big School.”

New Family Chess Exhibit Makes its Opening Move at Creative Discovery Museum

Beginning Jan. 14, Creative Discovery Museum will play host to Kings, Queens & Castles, a children’s chess exhibit co-created by The World Chess Hall of Fame and The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum. This innovative, nationally traveling exhibit brings the game of chess to life and provides an engaging introduction to individual chess pieces and game strategy. Kings, Queens & Castles invites children to learn more about this classic game as well as to pique the interest for those who already play.
