STEM lessons for Home School

Creative Discovery Museum is excited to offer this opportunity to home school students grades K to 5. All sessions will take place in downtown Chattanooga and will integrate science topics, hands-on activities and time to explore the Museum.

Participate in our STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) curriculum for home school students at Creative Discovery Museum. These sessions integrate science, technology, engineering and math in order to solve challenges and involve the students in situational problem solving.

For all ages, STEM Club for Home School will meet 

Tuesdays or Thursdays, September through April

1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
$55 for members per 4 week session.
$65 for nonmembers per 4 week session.

All STEM classes include group instruction with an expert science educator and large scale exploration of a science topic. Students will participate in individual and group hands-on experiments with science concepts and engineering design process. Students will be challenged as they apply science concepts through situational problem solving.


Registration is now open for Members. Registration for non-members opens on March 21, 2016.

Design and build contraptions to move water, move on water, move under water, and move over water.
Design with Technology 
Take advantage of the latest technology in the Make It exhibit to design and print custom fabric and use the laser cutter to manipulate wood, stone, and leather.

Learn Newton's Three Laws of Motion, and then explore the laws with toys, tools, and technology.

Crime Scene Investigation  
Use a variety of scientific processes to analyze physical evidence and solve a head-scratching mystery. 
Chain Reaction 
Create fanciful Rube Goldberg-type contraptions using simple machines and an understanding of forces and motion.

Cancellations 10 or more business days prior to the start date of the program will be fully refunded. Any cancellations received less than 10 business days prior to the first day of the program will forfeit 50% of the program fees. No refunds will be given for cancellations made the day of the program or later.
