ArtSpace, the newest exhibit as part of the Ignite Discovery capital campaign, is officially open! The opening of this exhibit also reopens the second floor of the Museum to the public after months of renovations. In this new exhibit, visitors can experience visual and performing arts through hands-on activities and interactive elements spanning a variety of techniques and forms.

CDM Receives Museums Empowered Grant

Creative Discovery Museum is excited to announce the awarding of a 3-year $243,425 grant from Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) as part of their Museums Empowered program. With this grant, CDM will promote staff professional development through trainings in customer service, job-specific activities, personal development, and leadership with the formation of the Creative Discovery Museum Academy (CDMA).

CDM Announces Capital Campaign Gift from TVA and BVI

Creative Discovery Museum is proud to announce a recent $500,000 capital campaign gift from TVA and BVI to support the renovation of the Tennessee RiverPlay exhibit. Each organization contributed $250,000 to the Ignite Discovery campaign, the ongoing capital campaign for the Museum’s comprehensive renovation.

CDM Receives $1 Million for Natural Science Gallery Renovation

Creative Discovery Museum’s (CDM) Ignite Discovery: Creating the new CDM capital campaign has been awarded $750,000 in funding from the Care Foundation of America and $250,000 from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The grants will fund UnEarthed, an indoor/outdoor natural science gallery for children and families and complementary educational programming. Construction is tentatively set to begin in the fall of 2022.
