Ignite Discovery: Kids Edition

We are raising money to create the new CDM for the children and families now and for generations to come. Will you join us? Participate in our Ignite Discovery: Kids Edition fundraising campaign. This is a great opportunity for children to learn about giving back to their community. P.S. An anonymous donor has agreed to match donations up to $50,000!

Record a video of your child or children talking about why they love Creative Discovery Museum. Upload the video to Facebook or Instagram. Here’s an example: “I love going to Creative Discovery Museum because I get to play and digfor dinosaur bones. Will you help create the new CDM for me and other kids in our community? Any amount will help and every dollar will be matched up to $50,000!” For every video that's uploaded, our anonymous donor will give $25 to the Ignite Discovery: Creating the new CDM campaign.

Be sure to make your posts public, use #IgniteDiscoveryKidsEdition in your caption and tag Creative Discovery Museum in your post! We will be selecting one lucky participant to be our official Ignite Discovery Capital Campaign Junior Co-Chair, invite them to the grand reopening event after construction is completed and make them an honorary CDM member for five years!

Take your fundraising efforts one step further by starting your own Facebook and/or Instagram fundraiser for the Ignite Discovery campaign!

1. Create a new post. Make sure your post is set to public.
2. Write your caption. Remember to use #IgniteDiscoveryKidsEdition so we can follow along! For example, "Lu is raising money for her favorite place, Creative Discovery Museum! Check out this video to hear why she loves the Museum. Will you donate to help us create the new CDM for her to grow up in? Every dollar counts and all donations will be matched up to $50,000! #IgniteDiscoveryKidsEdition
3. Upload your video.
4. Choose to "Support a Nonprofit" and search for Creative Discovery Museum.
5. Click "Post." And that’s it!

1. Create a new Instagram story by clicking the camera icon in the top left corner. If your account is not set to public, we will not be able to view your story.
2. Upload your video to your story or film one in real time.
3. Use the text feature to type a caption. For example, "Help Knox raise money to create the new @cdmfun! All donations will be matched up to $50,000! #IgniteDiscoveryKidsEdition" Add this to all pages of your story or just one.
4. Click on the sticker icon and select "Donation." Type Creative Discovery Museum in the search bar and select the cdmfun profile. Add this to all pages of your story or just one.
5. Click "Next" and then "Share" to your story. And that's it!
