Get ready to engage your senses as we explore culinary techniques and recipes from around the world! We'll use spices and flavor combinations to explore cultures while growing our kitchen skills. Culinary experiences in CDM's Spark Central kitchen lab will be balanced with Museum exploration and camp activities for 5 well-rounded days of creativity.

What do we bring to cdm camp?

- A backpack with a change of clothes - artmaking can be messy and we want you to be comfortable all day!
- A lunch from home and a refillable water bottle (we are unable to heat up camper lunches).
- A daily "snacktivity" will be provided. If your child has food allergies, we encourage you to pack an extra snack. We do our best to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
- Camp registration forms if you do not submit them in advance.

Is specialty art camp right for my 8 - 12-year-old?

CDM sets the standard for developmentally appropriate practice, and we want your child to have a best-fit experience. Here are some signs that your child is ready for Specialty Art Camps:

- Your child is enthusiastic about artmaking, specifically clay or cooking and can devote their attention to a multi-step process
- Your child is adaptable to new environments, able to express themselves verbally, and able to respond to verbal instruction and redirection
- Your child wants to spend their Summer making friends and making memories in the Museum!
